Manage Users

Adding, removing users

Depending on your subscription level, you can provide access to your StockQuery subscription account to additional users. The user you wish to add must have a valid email account.

Choose My Account | Manage Subscription Users. Manage Subscription Users dialog box is displayed that shows a list of users who currently have access to your account.

Press [Add New User] button to add a new user. On the Add New User dialog box, the name, email address, and roles of the new user are entered. The roles specify what the user can and cannot do in the system. All users have View Information role. The View Information role cannot be taken away. By checking or unchecking other roles for the user, you can limit user's data updating capabilities (i.e. add, edit, delete capability). Upon successful addition of a user, an automatic email is sent to the user with login information.

To remove user's access to your account, press the delete button next to user's name on the Manage Subscription Users dialog box.

To change user's permissions, press the edit button next to user's name on the Manage Subscription Users dialog box.

User permissions

Each user that logs into StockQuery has a certain set of permissions. The Subscription Owner (i.e. the person who pays for the subscription) has all permissions.

The Subscription Owner can provide access to their account to additonal users. Furthermore, the Subscription Owner can specify what permissions a user has by assigning specific roles to that user. For example, a user may be allowed to view inventory but not modify it.
